We are seeking a skilled and experienced HGV HIAB Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will safely and efficiently transport goods, such as generators and fuel tanks, using a large HIAB truck.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a truck to transport goods between locations.
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Load and unload equipment using the appropriate tools.
- Plan routes and adhere to delivery schedules.
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage.
- Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and other drivers to coordinate deliveries.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license and Driver CPC required.
- Proven experience as an HGV HIAB driver.
- Familiarity with moving generators and fuel tanks.
- Knowledge of flatbed truck operations is a plus.
- Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws.
- Ability to operate and maintain trucks safely and efficiently.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must hold a current HIAB qualification card (ALLMI, NPORS, CPCS).
- ADR certification is desirable.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
