How Can We Help?
What is Reactive Response?
At Pleavin Power, we understand that needing an emergency power supply can be a harrowing experience, one that needs to be met with a reactive response. What is a reactive response? A reactive response is exactly as it reads. A unique offering developed, built, and operated by our experts at Pleavin Power Limited.
We pride ourselves on being available 24/7 to our clients in the Critical Power, Standby Power & Prime Power Sectors. Reactive for us means “Ready when you are”, ensuring we are always ready and operating around the clock. Our experienced and committed Technical Engineers provide exceptional emergency call-out services.
Our dedicated emergency power supply service was developed to support the critical power industry in case of power outages or other emergencies, providing an uninterruptible power supply source.
Furthermore, our team at Pleavin Power has access to several purposely built and stocked 7.5-ton and 44-ton vehicles with a wealth of essential equipment to deliver in our client’s darkest hours. Including equipment such as electric motors, backup-powered generators, and transfer switches, among many others.
Our vehicles provide our staff with the equipment, resources, and spare parts that enable a ‘first-time fix’ in emergencies. Moreover, the vehicles also carry some very special equipment that provides further reinforcement. At Pleavin Power, our expert team always ensures to go beyond their response capabilities.
Emergency Response You Can rely on
Should a situation occur in which our reactive response team deems a repair unachievable, we will call upon our in-house dedicated 66-ton per-meter lorry loader, the Fassi Crane. This is to deliver, position, and install emergency power from our in-house stocks and a nationwide network of power partners.
We can supply, install, and commission anything from 10KVA to multi-MVA in the event of a critical power emergency. As a result, our reactive response vehicles and team members will have all the equipment and power requirements they need to get you back online in the fastest and safest way possible.
Should the need for a critical power supply arise, this will be passed on to our incident commanders. Our incident commanders will feed information back to our 24/7 customer support centre, which will keep you informed of the response, resources, and remedy of the action.
The incident commander will oversee the fault, support, and management of the incident until power is restored or emergency equipment is commissioned.
recovery plans
As well as offering our ‘industry-first’ service, we can also provide dedicated disaster recovery plans. This is a plan that is developed off the back of an intrusive site survey where a member of our team will design and implement control measures for emergencies such as transformer failure or a cable fault. The disaster recovery plan will detail things such as:
- Connection Points
- Isolation Points
- Equipment Locations
- Operating Environment
- Load Profiles
- Fluid Sampling Results
- Previous Service History
- Manufacturer Recommendations
Once the site survey is completed, we may also recommend the installation of dedicated connection points that can speed up the process in an emergency by providing a way of connecting a mobile generator directly to your site’s low-voltage or high-voltage network.
Reactive Response, Incident Management & Disaster Recovery Plans are available to any business or network operator that relies on a continuous portable power station to remain operational. This includes industries such as hospitals, data centres, peaking plants, combined heat and power, production facilities, manufacturing facilities, Rail and anywhere that loss of power can cause disruption.
HOW ELSE CAN PLEAVIN POWER ASSIST?
A reactive response is something that we pride ourselves on, as we offer a 24/7 response to all clients in the Critical Power, Standby Power and Prime Power Sectors. Should you be looking to migrate to a different location, we also offer diesel generator relocation that will remove hassles of transporting your generator(s) while you are preparing to move.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Should you experience a power outage, resulting in you losing your source of electricity, you will see your emergency power supply start automatically as a fail-safe. Meaning you are not lost of power for long. This means your place of work can be operational a lot sooner.
How does an emergency power supply work? Ultimately, when you experience a power failure, your emergency power system will automatically switch to a battery system for backup power and will run uninterrupted electrical power to your supply system. This will ensure the seamless operation of the devices you require power for.
People often mistake standby power with an emergency power supply. To understand what the difference is between an emergency power supply and standby power, it is determined by how quickly each system will be booted up. For instance, an emergency power supply will kick in roughly 10 seconds after a power outage.
Ensure the emergency backup generator will provide an uninterruptible power supply as soon as possible. This will make sure that your power loss is kept to a minimum.
Whereas the power system of a standby generator can take roughly up to a minute after the outage occurs. In essence, emergency backup power systems are designed to work entirely independently. Meaning that they will feature their specific conduits and panels.
In short, yes, a generator for emergencies is crucial, as it’s your lifeline during power outages, ensuring all of your vital appliances stay on. There are other methods that you can use for generating power in emergencies, but generators will provide you with peace of mind, especially during severe weather or unforeseen events, ensuring you have the necessary electricity to meet basic needs.
