The Problem
A Major Pharmaceutical Research Facility approached Pleavin Power after their incumbent generator provider was unable to support their switchgear upgrade and maintenance programme due to access and logistical challenges.
The generators, distribution, and cabling had to be delivered into central London with limited access from the road and height restrictions on site, all while the site was still operational.
The Solution
Pleavin Power provided and installed over 4KM of cabling and distribution systems to feed each individual distribution board on several different floors and basement levels, alongside 3x 550kVA machines running in sync with 24/7 monitoring and on-site support to allow the site to protect over £100 million of research and development resources.
After a weekend of switchgear works, the site was returned to mains, and the cabling, distribution, and generation were removed and collected on the same day to minimise any disruption to the site and their critical operations.
All access, logistical, manpower, and technical challenges were managed by our team of dedicated project managers, technical support staff, logistics and scheduling staff, and service engineers to ensure the client’s facility was never at risk.
