Last Week at Pleavin Power

Emergency Callouts

Long days for the entire team at the moment: hires, support and repairs, working the hours and keeping the power on – where and when we can.

We have taken a challenge to complete a total of 76 planned jobs before the 10th of December commences, but our emergency division keeps responding no matter what.

Connecting temporary emergency power to a local hospital after DNO supply cable’s failure, supporting critical generation on sites, responding to brake downs around the country, supplying emergency power system for a manufacturer of industrial machines… The team is pushed to the limit but if you are not pushing the boundaries life is boring!

Bromborough Service Centre

Our generator build, service, repair & overhaul facility in Bromborough is reaching the final development stages, which now offers:

  • 17,500SQ FT of dedicated engineering space
  • Facility, systems & process are ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 accredited
  • An overhead crane capacity of 22 tons
  • Painting & drying oven facilities
  • A dedicated washing facility
  • Dedicated strip, repair & rebuild bays
  • Dedicated control system build, assembly areas & testing facilities

Over the festive period we will be filming a new ‘facility’ tour video to fully demonstrate the powerful capabilities Pleavin Power has and inviting you all to visit in the new year.

Official Cummins Dealership

There is no denying the winter is a very busy period for any generator company, especially when the cold sets in. We are absolutely swamped with some fantastic projects, and feel truly blessed to be trusted by so many independent business’s to support their back up, prime and standby power requirements.

This also means that the demand for our Cummins stock in recent months has doubled if not tripled with some of the generators already pre-ordered months in advance for the next year. After a few collections last week, including the supply for the UK’s critical infrastructure in the event of an outage, we only have a few bigger Cummins generators left in stock.

Business Growth & Standards

We are incredibly happy to announce that Pleavin Power have once again successfully completed ISO surveillance audit for 9001, 14001 & 45001 ssip. This is our 3rd year retaining these accreditations and once again have sailed through with 0 majors and 0 minors. A massive reward for us and proves that even though the business has grown at a rapid rate, we are still ensuring we are all working to the highest standards and following our policies and procedures correctly.

Pleavin Power has also been selected to provide 24/7 wrap around cover, service, maintenance and load banking support to one of the UK’s largest key infrastructure sites. The beginning of what will only be the first of many.

Introducing Live Monitoring

Over the past few weeks we have relocated our monitoring system, trackers & introduced a live news feed into our op’s room. With the impending chaos of rolling black outs this winter, the demand for real time updates, monitoring and tracking our teams’ progress is huge. We can now keep a keen eye on real time data and UK news as situations develop.

Currently, we are also working on introducing a new and revolutionary remote monitoring system for our clients. This system connects your power systems with our remote real time servers allowing engineers and service managers to monitor real time usage, provide remote diagnostic support and plan routine servicing & maintenance based on real time data.

Smart Security System

With decades of experience and a huge skill set KHG Security has been installing a SmartSecure system, CCTV and access system for our home in Bromborough. With a huge investment into our new facility we have chosen to protect the property with the latest security technology bringing the piece of mind.

“Investing time into making a solid plan for an installation keeps everything running smoothly, rather than just taking a ‘ready, fire, aim’ approach. Whilst it’s straightforward enough to add extra cables and equipment on smaller jobs, a couple of hours planning cable routes and kit locations can save hours on larger installations.” – Director, Rob Rathbone.

We are extremely happy with the attention to detail and consistency KHG Security has provided. Thank you Rob and the team.
