This week Pleavin Power attended the launch of The Wirral Pledge Partnership which saw over 160 businesses, young people, schools and charity organisations come together and share ideas for building a bigger and better way into futures for young people. The Pledge Partnership supports employers and educators to work together to help inspire young people to make well-informed choices about the subjects they choose to study and the careers they want to follow.
At Pleavin Power, we firmly believe in the importance of supporting young people in pathways to careers. Particularly in our industry, we experience the skills gap first hand and part of our commitment to this pledge is focused upon our team wanting to ensure young people are equipped to join the future workforce. Our focus centres around two of the Gatsby Benchmarks that Schools often struggle most with: 1) Encounters with employers and employees; 2) Experiences of workplaces.
Through careers talks and events, as well as our Future Power Day, we want to make a difference to the lives of young people in the Liverpool City Region.
We’re excited to be part of this partnership and look forward to seeing what else us to come for the future of our partnership.
