Pleavin Power are delighted to become a member of the #Hive100 – supporting our local youth centre to make a difference in the community.
The Hive Youth Zone opened in 2017 as a state-of-the-art space dedicated to offering Wirral’s young people opportunities and experiences they can’t find anywhere else. With everything from a boxing ring and hair salon to a climbing wall and music studio, The Hive offers a chance for young people to completely change the lives of their 2260 members.
As a Hive 100 member, Pleavin Power provide funding for 10 young people a ‘Year to Remember’ covering the cost of their membership for the year, giving them free access to sessions as well as a hot meal every time they visit.
“Growing up on the Wirral it was always difficult to find things to do as a young person, now with amazing places like The Hive, they have somewhere to go and something to do. Their team of volunteers, young people, patrons and fellow Hive 100 members have been on an incredible journey in the past 7 years and we’re delighted to now be part of it. Unfortunately, we are in an area of deprivation and as a local business owner I am passionate about doing what we can to ensure levels of poverty decrease significantly.” – Jack Pleavin
