This Week at Pleavin Power

Emergency Callouts

Extremely busy period for our Emergency division at the moment: hires, ongoing support and repairs, all happening around the clock to keep our clients online.

Wolverhampton Call-Out

Our team responded to a John Deere failure in a critical application on Sunday morning. We assessed the failure and deployed emergency temporary power to ensure the client remained protected whilst our team complete repairs to the existing on site generators.

Hull Call-Out

After an emergency call, the team found a failed 550 kVA machine suffering from main winding failure. We isolated the machine and disconnected it before responding with an emergency temporary hire set to restore power to the clients’ site.

Wales Call-Out

The team were called to a prime power application supporting a holiday village in mid Wales. We quickly identified a failed injector, sourced the parts and retuned to replace it getting the client back online as soon as possible.

Business Improvements

We have always had a ‘one call’ approach, which is now paying dividends in some of the fastest growing and most demanding markets. We are now official Cummins Service & Sales Dealers, which give us an access to the biggest generators’ stock in the UK.

As we raise the bar in an outdated industry, create new ways of working and innovate we are working on some real special projects along the way. “I owe our success to my team and engineers. Without them I couldn’t be working on the business, because I’d still be working in it.” – Jack, founder and EPG specialist. “Thanks to my whole team and our senior members for creating opportunities and showing both, new and existing clients where we are taking our business for years to come.”

Servicing and Maintenance

Maintenance is one of the most important things that can be carried out to any piece of capital equipment that is vital to your operation, ensuring the correct procedures are completed will help not only prolong the equipments life but maintain performance and uptime.

As the business continues to grow, one of the key things that we instil in everything we do is as an age old saying ‘sales go up and down, but the service stays forever’. Our clients rely on us, and we rely on them, which is why our core focus is to deliver the highest of standards consistently. To do so we offering Preventative Maintenance Plans ensuring monthly check ups and servicing.

In-house conversions

Our own Jimmy has been working on getting the pre-wire completed on the 8610 for another panel built in-house. Yes it takes time… And yes it’s a lot of ‘extra’ effort, but the colour coding, idents and looming really do make a real difference in our pursuit of high quality conversions and durability.

In this case, we replaced the original Denyo controllers for DES8610’s to allow for synchronisation and load sharing of the two machines, as well as modernising the electrical protection and MGCB.
