Minor Servicing
Our services are delivered across a very diverse portfolio, from emergency standby generators in hospitals through to prime power machines in chemical plants. The most vital part of equipment ownership is ensuring it receives the correct amount of maintenance at the correct intervals.
Few months back, we sold a 220 kVA generator for a washroom manufacturer and made a Service and Maintenance contract with the company. Last week, our Field Service Engineer Daniel Greaves went to Romford, the head quarter of Washroom Washroom Ltd to complete Minor Servicing. Therefore, we serviced and completed routine checks for CAT and Cummins Generators, which included checking the oil levels, changing fuel and air filters as well as performing load bank testing.

At approximately 3 pm, we received a distress call for a hospital in Newton-le-Willows for a Volvo machine that came online and failed after five minutes, the team were scrambled and issues diagnosed. Sadly, this was the fifth time in eighteen months with a big bill for parts that have been fitted but did not fix the overheating. Seven hours later, the machine is repaired, load-tested and handed back fixed with our help.

As we keep growing as a company, we want everyone to meet our team members and to get to know them a little more. Jimmy has been with us since late August when he joined our Field Service Team. He works on servicing and repairs projects across sites in the UK for our clients. Jimmy is also our resident DeepSea expert and helps the team with system installs and upgrades, he’s also the company prankster!
One interesting fact is that Jimmy originally met our MD Jack when Jack first stared his apprenticeship back in 2013. Many years later, now Jimmy works for Pleavin Power alongside Jack, after beginning his career with him eight years ago.
Generator Hire Service
With the need for constant power, out of commission generator or power failure develops into a major situation. You may have never considered backup power for your business, however, regular power interruptions are about to become a thing we all have to deal with. To help avoid a crisis, we offer the Generator Hire Service, 30kVA to 1600kVA generators with internal 8-hour fuel tanks.
As our Hire sets currently are serving customers around the country, last week we collected Hire kit locally, which was brought back to the yard. After servicing and a load bank testing, it was handed over to another customer. With Christmas this week, we are busier than ever, preparing sets for hire and sale.
